NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) Seals: Suitable for use with petroleum-based hydraulic oils, glycol-based hydraulic oils, diester-based lubricating oils, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil, and other media. It is the most widely used and lowest-cost rubber seal. Not suitable for use in polar solvents such as ketones, ozone, nitro hydrocarbons, MEK, and chloroform. Typical operating temperature range is -40~120℃.
HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) Seals: Possess excellent corrosion resistance, tear resistance, and compression set resistance; good ozone resistance, sunlight resistance, and weather resistance. Offers better abrasion resistance than nitrile rubber. Suitable for washing machinery, automotive engine systems, and refrigeration systems using the new environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a. Not recommended for use in alcohol, ester, or aromatic solutions. Typical operating temperature range is -40~150℃.
SIL (Silicone Rubber) Seals: Possess excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance, and atmospheric aging resistance. It has excellent insulation properties. However, its tensile strength is lower than that of ordinary rubber and it lacks oil resistance. Suitable for household appliances such as electric water heaters, electric irons, and microwave ovens. Also suitable for various items that come into contact with the human body, such as kettles and water dispensers. Not recommended for use in most concentrated solvents, oils, concentrated acids, and sodium hydroxide. The general operating temperature range is -55~250℃.
VITON Fluororubber Seals: Superior high-temperature resistance to silicone rubber, with excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical resistance, but poor cold resistance. Resistant to most oils and solvents, especially acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, and animal and vegetable oils. Suitable for sealing needs in diesel engines, fuel systems, and chemical plants. Not recommended for use with ketones, low molecular weight esters, and nitrate-containing mixtures. The general operating temperature range is -20~250℃.
FLS Fluorosilicone Rubber Seals: These seals combine the advantages of both fluororubber and silicone rubber, exhibiting excellent resistance to oil, solvents, fuel oils, and both high and low temperatures. They resist corrosion from oxygen-containing compounds, aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, and chlorine-containing solvents. They are commonly used in aerospace and military applications. Exposure to ketones and brake fluid is not recommended. The typical operating temperature range is -50 to 200 °C.
