An O-ring (also known as an O-ring seal) is a rubber sealing ring with a circular cross-section. It is a mechanical seal used to prevent fluid leakage between two mating surfaces, primarily providing gas, water, and oil seals.
There are two methods for marking O-ring specifications: 1. Inner diameter (ID) * wire diameter (CS); 2. Inner diameter (ID) * outer diameter (OD), with the first method being more commonly used.
Internationally accepted O-ring standards include American Standard AS568A, Chinese Standard GB3452.1-82, and Japanese Standard JISB-2401.
