The main material of the shock absorber top mount is high-strength rubber, and it may have an embedded metal skeleton to enhance structural stability. The rubber layer is firmly bonded to the metal components through a vulcanization process, capable of withstanding both vertical pressure and lateral shear forces. Its design must balance elasticity and durability: overly soft rubber will result in insufficient support, while overly stiff rubber may transmit excessive vibrations.
